The Air We Breathe – that's Christoph, Christian, Constantin and André - released their debut album "Things Between" in May 2018 and have already played some live shows with it. Already back then they knew that they have a lot to tell with their music - and all that without fuss and a lot of frills, completely honest and unafraid of their own vulnerability. The four guys from Nuremberg used the last three years intensively and wrote some new tracks we can look forward to. They kick things off with the song "Fucked Up Generation" about the conflict of their own generation - the Millennials. Their points of criticism? Lack of actionism, consumerism, selfishness and simply complaining all the time. But if we're honest, there's that in every generation, that feeling that something is wrong and everyone is a little bit broken in their own way.
lyrics
Only a matter of time till I lose my mind
Why are you so damn useless and so foolish
Like a selfish, hyperactive, fucked up generation
Like a devilish, unattractive, like a busted connection
Should I have a word with my friends?
Should I have to fear how that ends?
Only to cover my strain, I’ve been waving it so long
All those slick, clever comments, all that good sounding nonsense
I can’t comply
It’s just a big, big fuss
Should I have a word with my friends?
Should I have to fear how that ends?
Can I say what I feel now?
Can I make a difference?
I sing this lullaby in my mind, in my mind
I sing this lullaby, lost in time, in my mind
Just a bunch of butterflies, living in broken times
Just a bunch of broken minds, waiting out broken times
Should I have a word with my friends?
Should I have to fear how that ends?
We’re a fucked up generation
We´re fucked up, the difference
